How cute is my dog??? I got her this little doggie t-shirt yesterday and then one thing led to another last night...hence the pictures. (this page is a scraplift of Elsie's from 2peas...)Hehehe! So funny. I feel bad 'cause Maggie's been kind of pushed to the sidelines this past year, so I wanted to giver her a little attention. Payton loves playing with her, I can already see that they are going to be partners in crime. The other day I caught both of them, happy as can be, eating food out of Maggie's bowl. EEEEEeeeewwww! Luckily I got the food out of Payton's mouth...it was pretty funny, though. Yup, this is my dog...at times she can drive me crazy (like, how she totally thinks she's a person and hogs the bed at night...aaahhh!) but I love her. She's a part of our little family:) Just wanted to share these pics!

I'm so excited ... there's a new scrapbook magazine coming out that's called "The Canadian Scrapbooker" and I'm being featured in the up-coming spring issue!! The magazine focuses on one province/issue, and then they pick 3 scrapbookers to showcase from that province and I'm one of the people they chose from Alberta. So I'm excited...it's still a little while away, but something to look forward to. And then I met with the owner of the scrapbook store I shop at today (The Urban Scrapbook) about teaching classes at the store. It's cool 'cause she's basically letting me teach whatever I want...I get to design the class and then teach it! So I'm excited. I want scrapbooking to be my career, my THING. It's such a competitive industry and there are soooo many scrapbookers out there, so any opportunity is a good one. Just wanted to share my news! -Talia:)

lots to do

Whew...had a busy weekend and now I'm finally sitting down and just chillin' out in front of the TV with my family. We just got back from Red Deer where we were visiting Gray's mom before she heads off to Texas...so lucky, she gets to go for almost a month! Although, now I am stressed because she is totally ready for Christmas... presents wrapped and everything! (she may even get her decorations out this week so when she gets back in December it's all done.) So I'm feeling like I have soooo much to do. Time to start writing my "lists" and figure out what I'm getting for whom...I love doing that. And I can't wait for Christmas this year...Payton will be so much fun and I get to see my cutie pregnant sister. So fun!! Payton is cracking me up right now, she likes to walk around holding on to furniture...and she just talks and blabs to herself. I wish I knew what she saying!! Anyways, I just have so much to do...but like I said, it's all fun stuff 'cause it's for Christmas. Love this time of year...

trick or treat!

Well....Halloween's finally over!! For a silly little holiday, it sure was a busy one for us. Last night was fun...we got Payton dressed up again and she helped us hand out candy to all the trick or treaters. Kennedy, Winter and my mom stopped by to see Payton in her costume...by the end of the night she was like, get this thing off me! Haha. This morning we also had a Halloween party for the little dance class I teach. The girls all looked so cute in their costumes and Payton wanted in on the action...she was crawling and chasing them around the studio. So cute. So now I guess we'll have a little bit of down time before P's birthday and Christmas...although I'm already thinking of all the things I have to do before then!! Hopefully I'll find the time....anyways, here are some pictures from last night!

...of you. I love this picture of Payton when she was 6 months old. Love that she is growing and changing, but sad that she isn't a little baby anymore. Glad I'm an obsessive picture-taker so I can remember her at every stage.

little ladybug

Yesterday was so much fun! It was our ward Halloween party so we got Payton dressed up in her ladybug costume...she was so cute!! I think she was a little confused though, with all the people looking at her and smiling and taking pictures, etc. She was just like, what is going on here?? Haha. Yup, the party was hillairious...as you can see by the pictures, lots of people dressed up, including the adults. One couple (Bernard and Liz) switched skin colors for the evening...so funny! And then there was a sumo wrestler...isn't that costume hillairious? I stamped some Halloween words on a shirt, that was as far as my costume got...maybe next year I can convince Gray to dress up with me...ya right!! haha. Anyways, it was so fun to see all the little babies dressed up, they were quite a hit. We gathered quite the crowd as we were taking pictures of all of them. Then we ended off the evening with a bunch of us mommies jumping around in the Astrojump...it was so funny, we were all just laughing so hard (while all of the kids were yelling at us to hurry up! hehe!). it's startin' to feel...

...like Halloween! I'm so excited for Halloween this year 'cause I finally have a little baby to dress up. We have a Halloween party at the church tomorrow night and I can't wait to get Payton in her costume. My mom and I made it on Saturday...but you'll have to check back to see what she's being! All I can say is, she will be freakin' cute!! Mom bought this little outfit for P at Target so I thought I'd get her all dressed up today. I tried desparately to get some good shots, but she just wasn't havin' it today. I couldn't get her to look at me or smile or anything! Ah well, it was still fun. See ya later, Tal :)

jeans

I'm so excited!! This is all the rage in the scrapbooking world right now... decorating your jeans!! So this was my attempt at midnight last night. So fun. I think I'm gonna do a cute little pair for Payton, too. Had a good night last night, Karly and I and a few other women in our ward went to the cannery in Sherwood Park and started on our food storage. It was fun...I thought we all looked like oopma loompa's in our white lab coats and hairnets! I'm just excited to get going on my food storage...I've been putting it off for way too long. she's 10 months old!

How is my baby already 10 months old?? Sometimes I feel like it was just yesterday that I was walkin' around with a big round tummy. just took these pics of P this morning. Love her, love her, LOVE HER!!!!

happy 29th gray!

Yesterday was Gray's 29th Birthday!! It was lots of fun...his parents were in town, so well went to dinner and then walked around Ikea afterwards...(always so much stuff to buy there!). I got Gray a touque that I'm *pretty sure* he won't return (he is so hard to buy for!!) and then we came back to our house for cake. Payton was so funny when we swere singing Happy Bday to him...she didn't know what was going on (as you can see by her face in the pictures! haha!!). She stuck her hand in the cake and immediately started crying...we'll see how her birthday goes in a couple months...so far, she doesn't seem to like cake!! So yup, my hubby is 29...he's so cute! Soooo happy to have him....these other pics are of Payton in her crib...she pulls herself up so easily now and she loves to bounce and babble away while she's standing....she says "mamamamama" all the time... does mama still count as her first word even though she has no clue what she's saying?? I hope so!! Hehe!

monday is here again...

Okay, I have not been good at this blogging thing lately!! Sorry! Payton is just soooo busy now. I've given in to the fact that whenever she's awake now, there's no hope in me getting anything done. The nice thing about that though, is we get lots of time to play together...nothing's better than that. She's crawling and pulling herself up on whatever she can now...we had to drop her crib down yesterday so she won't fall out when she pulls herself up! She's just becoming such a little person, it's hard to believe she's 10 months old. So crazy!! We had our last swim class today. It was funny 'cause all the babies were wearing life jackets and they put the waves on in the pool...so fun. I'm kinda sad the lessons are over now, it was nice to get out of the house and do something fun. Ah, well....I'm always so busy, I'm sure I'll find more to do! I finally got some biking pics of Gray...they don't really do him justice, but they're still cool. Biking season is over now and he's already talking about the bike he wants to get for next year...aahhh! Anyways, not much else is new, just keeping busy with Payton and primary stuff and teaching and scrapping. I'm excited for halloween, I can't wait to get Payton all dressed up! So cute. summer stuff

I'm in a "summer-ey" mood for scrapbooking today. I took soooo many cute pictures in Montana this summer and I really haven't scrapped any of them. So I gotta get cracking. The page of Mya and Payton is a lift of Elsie's from the November CK. Love Elsie!! Gray went biking today, so that left my afternoon open...I wanted him to stay home today, but it's only getting colder, so he does need to get as much biking in as he can. I'll post some pics of him if he ever manages to get any good ones! P is quite the little handful...she scoots around like nobody's business when I'm not looking...I'm learning that my house isn't as baby-proof as I thought it was!! She's such a cutie. She's pulling my hair and shoving her fingers in my mouth as we speak. AAAhhhh!! Time to go...
