It is hard to believe that it has been one whole year since we had Gabby. I can't imagine life without her...her little smile, her squinty eyes, her chubby little body and precious personality. She may be one, but she's still my baby! One year ago today... ...we went to Dairy Queen for dinner and decided that the next day would be a good day to have the baby...it would be a Saturday, Gray wasn't working...perfect time to pop out a little baby! (hehe! Little did we know we actually would have the baby the next day!) ...I was in labour all night long while my husband slept peacefully. (aarrrgghh!!) ...I gave birth for the second time with no drugs. ...I said "goodbye" to Payton as my baby and she became a big sister....we welcomed our precious daughter, Gabriella into this world and into our family. ...I realised that it really WAS possible to love another child just as much as your first. .
..I became a mama all over again, to a perfect little angel...
Happy Birthday, Gabby! We love you more than life itself...you've made our little family complete. My sister in law did a cute little slide show of her son on his first birthday, and I totally attempted to do the same last night, but it just did not wokr for me! So I know there are lot of pictures....but scroll down for a little peek at Gabby's first year of life.....*sigh*...I still can't believe she is one year old!
Love you, love you, love you, Gabby!!!xoxoxox
Hey, Everyone!I haven't been the best blogger, and I'll spare you all the same old excuse of me being "busy"...but as I've been saying alot lately...it's summer! I actually went away this weekend to Colorado to visit my old friend Kristin and it was so much fun. We haven't seen eachother in a loooong time so it was great and totally like old times. We laughed a ridiculous amount...the kind of laughing that you're like, kay, WHAT are we even laughing about? So that was fun. And Gray stayed home with the girls (he a little help from both grandma's!) and they were able to have some much needed daddy-daughter time. And, of course....NO PICTURES! My camera is being fixed right now and I am so annoyed 'cause I am missing out on some awesome photo opportunities. So that is frustrating. I feel lost without my camera!Anyways.....I just wanted to thank ALL of you so much for your sweet comments and support on my class at BPS. I am so glad and honored that so many of you are already jumping right in and getting started, motivated and inspired!! (I've already recieved some pictures of people's layouts!! Keep 'em coming!!) And remember, it is never too late! However old your kids are, you can always scrapbook their baby photos!! Please, email me if you ever have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them ASAP. And I love hearing feed-back, too!And I promise that I have done some scrapbooking....but with no camera I haven't been able to photograph anything and I don't do the whole scanner thing anymore...way too time consuming! I will share one day, I promise!! As always, I hope everyone is having a good Monday, and just thought I'd leave you with a quote that is speaking to me today:"Face new challenges, seize new opportunities, test your resources against the unknown and in the process, discover your own unique potential."-John Amatt
(and psssttt! check out the Goodie Box!)
...my class has launched!Baby's First Year is officially up, running and ready for download at Big Picture Scrapbooking.I can't believe it.I am actually kind of in shock right now.To see all the work that I did, laid out so beautifully in the classroom is like a dream. And I am not the only one who worked on this class. Thank you so much to Stacy, Kayce, Paula, Amy and everyone else at BPS who made this happen....who made this dream come true for me! Thank you Kim for taking my headshots and other special shots for the classroom...you are the best and are becoming such an amazing photographer! I am just beside myself right now....still not believing that my class is done and ready to go! There is even a designated menu at Scrapbook.com for the class where you can shop for specific supplies that I used in my album. Everything that I planned for tonight has gone out the window as I've just been sitting here staring at my computer...I don't want to give anything away, so I just hope that you all will sign up for class and see what it's all about! The handout is biggie, but so cute...there are some super fun extras in the classroom that I am LOVING...and I haven't been brave enough to listen to my audio message yet, so let's hope it's not too embarrassing...I am sure I sound twelve. Hehe! I just want everyone to know that while this is a class designed for a baby, you don't have to HAVE a baby or BE A MAMA to participate. You can make this album as a gift. It can be for a boy or a girl. You can make it before your baby arrives if you are expecting. You can make this if you already have a baby....no one is "behind" or needs to get "caught up". You can make this if your baby is 13 years old and is still waiting for his baby album. You can make this if you are a daddy who loves to scrapbook. This album is for everyone. Just look at the "big picture" and decide how it can work for you. I can't wait to see what you all do.Talia:)
Okay, just a warning...lots of pictures in this post!!I feel like I have been kind of a lame blogger lately, but what do you do?? It's summer and we're doing our best to keep busy while the weather is good. I just wanted to share some pictures of my cutie cute girls from the last month or so...Gabby has suddenly become a little person, just walkin' around all over the place...it's so cute, but man, this girl is into EVERYTHING!! She definately has ants in her pants...never a dull moment around here! And Payton is hillairious as well...Gray and I are always amazed at the things that come out of her mouth sometimes...she's a little smarty pants, or "sassy angel" as me and auntie A-dee like to call her!So we've just been busy doing the summer stuff...although the weather hasn't been the greatest the last couple days, it's definately looking up. I've even got some scrapping in here and there, so I'll have to share some of my pages soon. Been very inspired by Rebecca's new book...looove it!!But back to my girls...they are as cute as ever, but holy cow...BUSY is not even the word to describe them!!

I love these last 2 pictures of Payton and Winter, her big cousin...my sister and I went out for a quick little walk on Saturday morning so the girls could feed the ducks and it was so cute. The ducks were totally surrounding them, wanting the bread! Karly and I imagined out grandpa looking down on us...probably so happy to all his girls out feeding the ducks...he was a major bird lover and I totally remember him taking me on walks and going bird watching and feeding duckies in the pond, just like the girls were doing....so that was neat. I miss my grandpa.Okay, everyone have a good week and don't forget to go over to the Goodie Box! There's a fun prize for this month's winner!!Oh, and P.S....my Big Picture class really WILL be launching SOON...we're in the final stages, so I'm very very excited!!!Talia:)
Isn't the internet an amazing thing?? I love reading people's blogs...for ideas, inspiration, to catch up with family members...and just for fun! Look what I woke up to on Thursday morning...a picture of my own little Gabby at only 6 weeks old from Creative Escape this past September. Robyn pretty much sums it up in her post, but we were outside, waiting for the doors to open for dinner on our last night of Creative Escape and out of the blue, this cool girl just said, "Hey, can I take some pictures of you and your baby?" I was like, "okay, sure!" and she started clicking away. It was funny, 'cause as she was taking pictures a crowd totally started gathering...kind of embarrassing, but look at the result. So amazing!! Looking at this picture actually makes me tear up...it was taken about a month after Gabby was born, and now she is only a month away from being one year old. I really wish time would just slow down....just for a little while. So thank you, Robyn!!! I can't wait to see a few more.I think it is so cool how we can become "friends" with people thru things like blogs and the internet and online galleries...wherever. Pretty darn cool if you ask me. So thank you to all of you who read my little blog and post a comment now and then. I've come to appriciate your comments and always get excited to read them...is that weird? I really DO check out all of your blogs as well...I just need to be better about making comments, when I know they mean so much to me.
Good night!!
:):)
I have FINALLY got some scrapbooking done!! I took a major break from it while I was working on my Big Picture class, so it has been fun to get "playing" with all of my stuff. As always though...I just wish I had more *time* to scrapbook. By the time we get the girls in bed and the house tidied up I'm exhausted. But, this is what I've managed to get done in the past week!! I haven't talked about my "Year to Remember class in a while...this month is all about "change" and I love that. I set a goal back in January to dance onstage in June...well, that opportunity has passed me by. I was planning on spending April and May getting back in shape and choreographing something to perform...but with the Urban Convention that I taught at and then working on my class all of May, I just wasn't able to do it all. So...I'm trying not to feel guilty about it and I'm moving on...setting a new goal that is more realistic for my life right now. Who knows...maybe next year I'll make it on stage again!!
For my new goal I have decided to "do one thing every day to make me a better ME." I'm excited because there are so many things I need to work on...reading my scriptures more, getting more sleep, being more patient...the list could go on. Some days I may have a plan and some days I won't...and that's okay. I just don't want to stress about it...I'll see where "ever day" takes me and what I need to do on that particular day to better myself. I've also gotten caught up on my April and May layouts as well...it has been fun to do...to just take Heidi's ideas and go with them. I always feel a bit lame that I just completley "lift" her layouts, but it's fun to do what she's taught and then make it my own later...so thank you, Heidi!

And I've finally gotten my hands on some of the new stuff by Elsie. I love how funky and free it all is...very, very fun and inspiring!!

Okay, I have a screaming baby...time for a nap (for her!) and then time to think about dinner and get ready for "So You Think You Can Dance" tonight...yay!!Talia:)
(Oh, and P.S...I bought the perfect bra at Old Navy in the girls (yes, the GIRLS) section today...slightly padded with no underwire... what can I say, after 2 kids I am absolutely flat and the bra thing has become an issue lately...hehe!)
