just a couple...

Just a couple scrapbook pages I did this past week...Graham banished me to the basement one night to scrapbook and this is what I worked on. It was so much fun! Thanks, babe! It was funny though, these pages took me FOREVER to do...I am out of the groove, but it was so nice to play. So Kherington offically has a couple scrapbook pages...there are many more in my head, let's see if I'll ever be to actually do any of them!!

Today was a very busy day. I went downtown with the girls and my sister and my Grandma to get Kherington's passport photo and apply for her passport. So ridiculous that baby's need passports...don't even get me started. Sheesh. Anyways, if you're in the Edmonton area and need to get your baby's passport photo taken, just go to Canada Place and they'll take them right there and they're totally fast. It was great. Then we went for lunch at Red Robin's, came home and blew up the girls pool for the backyard and they played outside all afternoon while I cleaned my kitchen. It was fabulous! Summer is finally here...yay! Now it is almost 10pm and my list is still loooooong of all the things I want to get tonight, and here I am blogging. Ha!!

Have a happy weekend!!

she dressed herself yesterday...

...can you tell??

And don't worry, we totally went out in public with her dressed like this. (I should add that she had sparkly pink flip-flops on and a tan jacket to finish off the look.) She insisted that this was what she wanted to wear, and I wasn't gonna fight it! Haha. Oh, this girl makes me laugh. My sister totally busted up laughing when she walked into McDonald's and saw Gabby yesterday...gotta love her. I used to have my girls dressed up perfectly all the time, and now...not so much. I get to choose what they wear and make sure their hair is cute on Sunday's but during the week, anything goes lately! (it's an accomplishment if I even make it out of the house, so if my kids have clothes on, we're good...wink!)

And here are a few more randoms of our crazy-cute 2 year old:

Man, I could not live without this kid. She just makes us laugh and laugh and laugh. She's a little rascal and is always in trouble and torments her big sister and loves her baby sister and is just busy and cute and all-around fun.

Love you, love you Gabby-Gabbs!

just a little somethin'...

Just wanted to share this little autograph book I made for Heidi when she came to teach...it was so simple and fast! I just made the little pages using cute brushes from House of 3, printed them off on regular computer paper and attached the whole book together with tulle. Easy! Even the butterfly on the front is a digital brush that I just printed and cut out. It turned out really cute...we passed the book around as Heidi was teaching and everyone wrote her a little message, then we gave it to her at the end of the day. A little souvenir of her trip to Edmonton! This could be cute for kids to take to school at the end of the year to have their classmates sign, or a fun little notebook to have on your desk or to give to a friend...lots of possibilities!

Wow, I just shared a scrapbook project! Yay!

it's that time of year again

It always amazes me how quickly the year goes by. It's almost time for Payton's dance recital again...how is it already June? This little girl just loves her dance class every Wednesday morning. Tap, especially. She was very excited to get her new beige tap shoes for recital (I had bought her black ones at the beginning of the year not realizing that they were supposed to have beige. Oops.), and she wears them constantly. It's cool to see how much she's learned since she started dancing last year. They just grow up too fast!

Looking at these pictures just gives me total deja-vu of when I was dancing. I can remember it like yesterday...my mom doing my hair and make-up, taking pictures and getting me all ready to go onstage...it is still sometimes hard for me to believe that I am the mama now! (and I'm sure that after over 30 years of this, my mom has a hard time believing that she's still sewing dance costumes! Thanks, mom!!) Anyways, this was Payton all dressed up for her dress-rehearsal. Recital is next weekend and then dancing is done till September...yay! I am just ready for summer and no schedules. Anyone else feelin' the same way?

baby faces

My cute little Kherington a couple weeks ago. Oh, the little faces she makes are so sweet. She's started to smile and coo and I just love it. She is such a little sweetheart. I could just eat her up, she's so adorable. (I always say this and everytime I do, Graham just laughs.)

She is such a good baby. Sleeping through the night for the most part, so that makes us happy! She stops people in her tracks wherever we go...I think I heard "Look at that hair!" about 100 times this weekend as we were out and about...so funny.

Okay, just had to share!

the weekend with Heidi...

Well, Heidi has come and gone and I have to say, this weekend was fabulous! It was jam-packed and busy, but oh, so fun. Heidi is awesome...so down to earth, yet so very inspiring...I know everyone who attended her event on Saturday would say the same thing!

Her classes were great on Saturday...everyone received these stinkin' cute House of 3 bags with their kits inside which were full of tons of stuff. And the classes rocked. I loved the vibe of the whole day...it was totally laid-back, yet everyone was working and got lots done on their projects. I can't wait to get going on mine! My favorite part of the day, though, was the very end when Heidi shared with us about House of 3 and just other fun stuff regarding blogs, scrapbooking, photoshop, photography and more...I wish everyone had stayed for that part 'cause we somehow all ended up in tears, and once again, just inspired and happy and full of positive energy. Crazy women we are!

One of my favorite things about scrapbooking events and workshops is just connecting with other women who love this hobby as much as I do. It was so fun to see old and new faces, to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. It was awesome, ladies! I definately needed this weekend...Graham and my mama and my sister all helped me with my kids so that I could be there on Saturday and hang out with Heidi, so thank you so much for that...as always, what would I do without you guys?

To sum it all up, I'm just feeling totally inspired and ready to go...I want to get scrapbooking again...it is time. This weekend was just great all-around. Church was so good on Sunday...my kids were actually quiet during sacrament meeting and I was able to listen to the talks and the spirit was so strong...it was a good day. Kim, Heidi and I also seemed to go from one deep conversation to the next. Left me with lots of things to ponder and think about. It was so great to hang with Heidi and get to know her better...it was just such a great weekend!

I just finished uploading a ton of pictures to my computer and I now I am so overwhelmed. So much has been happening over the past few weeks with my girls, and I'm sad that I haven't been blogging about it all. Hopefully I'll find the time to be a little more with it...so much to share.

But for now, I'm off to bed!

it's midnight...

...and I'm trying to edit photos, but there are just too many. This one is cute, so I thought I'd share. My sweet little babe after a bath. I had her sitting on my lap in the rocking chair, and Payton and Gabby were crawling all over me as I took this picture. Funny how you remember what was going on behind the camera as you look at certain pictures.

Time for bed.

i *heart* banff!

For the long weekend Graham and I took the girls to Banff and we had such a good time...I love Banff! I have so many fun memories there and haven't been there in a long time, so it was fun to take a little trip as a family. The girls had a blast, and we packed alot in to the couple days we were there...swimming, eating, shopping in town, waterslides, taking the gondola up to the top of the mountain (this was a highlight!) and just hanging out at the hotel. They LOVE hotels. Really, Graham and I could just get a hotel room in Edmonton and they would think we're on a trip!

Anyways, here are a few pictures...

(Kherington spent most of the weekend hidden in the snugli...it was a bit chilly, and she loved being cuddled up tight!)

We weren't sure the weather would be that great...as we were driving in to Banff on Thursday it was a full-on blizzard! (gotta love Canadian weather!) So winter wonderlandy in fact, that Payton was singing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" in the back seat. Haha! But it warmed up and we had a great time. On the way home we stopped at the track and watched Graham dirt-bike. It was fun. The girls thought it was great to just run around and get dirty and I was excited to see Gray do what he loves to do. Last summer I was so sick that I didn't see him bike much at all, so this was good.

Today was spent cleaning around the house...I have a big "spring cleaning" to-do list that I want to get going on. It may not feel very springy right now (WHERE is the nice weather???) but it's time to get crackin'. So far we've cleaned out and tidied the toys in the basement and in the girls bedroom...that was a big job. Next I'll be tackling closets and cupboards.

Let the cleaning begin!

2 months old

(the cuteness in these pictures are thanks to Kherington's grandma's...my mom made the quilt and my mother-in-law got the cute little tutu-diaper cover somewhere in the states...I don't know where, sorry!)

How can she be two months old already??

This little babe is just so cute and so fun and so awesome...we love her.

Sorry I am such a lame blogger. Wish I could be around more, but you know how life gets. Just too darn busy and full of stuff to do. I'm looking forward to school and dancing being done within the next few weeks so I can have my mornings free...and focus on getting Gabby potty-trained! I'm so excited for nice weather and summertime...I can't wait! We're off tomorrow for a little family getaway to Banff for the long weekend, but before I go I just wanted to mention that there are still a few spots available for Heidi's day of classes here in Edmonton. I just talked to her today and she's super excited to come and there's lots in store. So come if you can make it!

(UPDATED: See some sneak peeks of Heidi's kits here! Soooo much stuff!)

Have a happy weekend!

to montana and back

Well, it's already Wednesday and I'm just making it to the computer for the weekend report. Sheesh! We went down for a quick trip to Montana this weekend for my dear friends wedding, and we had such a good time. Janell looked gorgeous and her wedding was so much fun. I was glad to have a little getaway and the girls were great. Kherington slept through the night the whole time we were away, so I was a happy mama!

Here are a few shots...

Payton and Gabby had so much fun at the dance...they just danced the night away! Even Gray and I made it on to the dance floor, so it was fun. Our first little trip as a family of five. Graham and I had to laugh, 'cause one morning as we were leaving the hotel the person working at the front desk said, "Wow, you guys sure are a big family!" So I guess we've graduated from being a small family to a big one...who would've thought?

And a trip down to the states wouldn't have been complete without shopping at Target. I love that store! I was just going to say that I wish we had them here, but then it wouldn't be fun, right? So I suppose Target can stay out of Canada for the time being.

:)

And yes, no pictures of Kherington...I decided to pick my battles when it came to photo-ops, and trying to get the three girls in a picture together at the wedding was just something I wasn't willing to do in front of a bunch of wedding guests. But she looked cute, I promise!

Okay, off to feed the baby and then time to figure out what we're having for dinner. Hopefully I'll be back soon!
