felt fortune cookies

I saw these adorable felt fortune cookies on the Martha Stewart website this weekend and thought they'd be the perfect little Valentine's gift....I love them! The instructions to make them are here if you want to whip some up!

(note: Instead of using ribbon and glue like they suggest, just use decorative tape. I used the MM fabric tape and it was super easy and not messy at all...glue can get messy!)

I love finding new ideas...keeps things fresh, and these are a fun alternative to a Valentine's card. I saw the chopsticks at Walmart yesterday and thought they'd be fun to add to the little cookies. Oh, and I just filled each cookie with Hershey's Kisses 'cause you can't go wrong with chocolate!

Also, I thought I'd share the little fortunes that I created in photoshop...you can just click on the image below and print them off and add them to your own cookies.

Have fun, and Happy Valentine's Day!

The difference between you and me: I saw these too and thought I should make them. End of story. You saw them AND made them. :)

I LOOOOOOVE the borders on these pictures. I just might have to go and order these brushes!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I made these for my hubby last night and he loved them! I made some with red felt and some with black felt and I ended up putting it on a whit oriental plate with chop sticks like you did. Instead of putting Happy Valentine's Day in them, I put coupons for him to use. Like: Good for a dinner of your choice made by me, You pick the movie we go to, and back rub etc...
I love how you made them with pink felt...soooo cute! Thanks I love your blog. So much inspiration here!

Those are so adorable! I'm totally going to remember these for next year! And your daughters bday party looked soooo cute! I am planning for my daughters 5th bday party in less than a month and we are doing a princess theme (but we have more 'prince's coming than princesses!)

Hi Talia,
I just realized it was you birthday not long ago -so happy birthday! (even if I'm late). It's also a little anniversary for me, because the first thing I read on your blog was about your last birthday ;) So I'm reading your blog for a year now. A good reason to finally say "hello". I really love your blog and your pictures and your style!
Hope you have a great day!
