what we've been up to...

Well, it's finally spring and we've been busy, busy, busy! Graham was out of town last week on a biking trip (hence the lack of posts), so I thought I'd do a little update.

Here is Payton all dressed up for her dress rehearsal for her "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" dance. She looked so cute! I love the studio we go to 'cause they're really great at making a "big deal" of all the pre-schoolers. They have their dress rehearsal, plus they do a community performance as well as their year-end recital. It's nice for us parents to be able to see them "perform" more than once throughout the year...it's fun for the kids, plus we get our money's worth (we always like that!). So here's my little beauty:

And just a few more pics of my little Gabby. Can I just say how BUSY this child keeps us? She is just soooo different from Payton. She's rough and tough and is ALWAYS a disaster. I've accepted that as soon as I get her ready, she'll be a mess with her hair pulled out and a stain on her shirt within minutes.

But....she is the BEST little cuddler. So willing to give hugs and loves at all times. She would much rather sit on your lap and cuddle with her blankie than play. Oh, and she's obsessed with the keyboard on the computer. Don't leave her alone when there's a computer around! (hehe!)

What else...today was such a busy day. We worked on the yard all day...I planted some flowers, which I've been dying to do, and the girls just had so much fun playing in the backyard and "helping" Graham and I. (read: spraying everything in sight with water and eating dirt.) We're trying to get our yard all cleaned up and fixed up...the people who lived in this house before us did some ridiculous things with the landscaping. I just like yards to be clean and simple...it's so much work to maintain them as it is, I don't need a bunch of extra bushes and piles and plants everywhere, too. Is anybody with me on that?

Kim and I thought we were so smart and had the kids play in Kim's kiddie pool in her backyard on Saturday afternoon...they had a blast for about a half hour and after that they just wanted to play with the toys inside. We thought for sure they'd be happy out there for a good hour or so at least...ha ha! Kinda hard to plan (or assume) anything with two one-year-olds and a three-year-old...but they still had fun.

Graham also ripped out all of our laminate flooring today 'cause we're getting new stuff put in tomorrow...I can't wait! I've been wanting this since we moved in...I'm excited to see the final result.

Other than that, life is just going on as usual. I've been keeping myself busy organizing photos and old scrapbook pages...I'll need to do a separate post on that soon. It's been fun to go through old photos and memories...*sigh*...time goes by so quickly!!

Have a great day, I'll be back soon!

Payton is tu-tu cute in these pictures! :) You're so lucky she lets you do her hair. Sienna barely sits still for one little hair thingy. *sigh*

I totally agree with the simple yard. We are still trying to fix what previous owners did. Lotsa work. So time consuming. Who has the time unless your kids are all grown up...

David Archuleta did it!!! He was awesome tonight. Shine on David! Yey! :) That being said, David Cook will do just great as well. He has an awesome career ahead of him. Love them both but David A shone brighter tonight.
